How Sweet the Sound™, The Search for the Best Church Choir in America, a Verizon Wireless experience, brought our inspiring 2009 tour to eleven cities nation-wide, leading up to an unbelievable Grand Finale in Detroit. With Donald Lawrence as host, Lisa Kimmey-Winans as co-host, Marvin Sapp as judge and performer and exciting gospel celebrities, some of the best church choirs in America performed before "souled out" crowds for the chance to win $10,000 in the regional event and up to $50,000 overall. Congratulations to all the choirs who joined in the celebration. Their dedication and commitment gave them the chance to win over $25,000 in cash and prizes at the Grand Finale and the title of The Best Church Choir in America.
