How Sweet the Sound™ is an unprecedented Gospel Celebration in search of the best church choirs in America, and we welcome people of all faiths to participate. During 2008’s events, communities across the country were invited to join together, let their voices be heard and celebrate the undeniable power of song. The response to our call was extraordinary, and the resulting memories are full of the kind of inspiration and unity that only music can bring.
During our memorable finale, the
winning choirs received cash prizes totaling $50,000 and even have their joyous performances featured on V CAST. Families and friends gathered for a truly moving experience featuring energetic music performed by local choirs and some of the biggest names in gospel, including
Donald Lawrence, Marvin Sapp, Hezekiah Walker and Smokie Norful.
