Recognized as “One Of The Most Influential Players In Gospel Radio” by Billboard Monitor, Matt Anderson is a highly sought after broadcasting talent, yet he remains committed to the inspirational family-friendly format. Noted for his wit and wisdom along with his warm interviewing style, he uses his gifts to influence contemporary culture through media. Currently, he serves as Program Director and afternoon drive host for the first full-time FM Gospel radio station in Washington, DC: Radio One’s WPRS-FM Praise 104.1.
During his 25 year career in broadcasting, he has contributed to the growth of several major broadcast outlets in various capacities; on-air talent, program director and production director. At CBS Radio’s WPGC-AM (Heaven 1580) he was instrumental in developing the highly successful "Heaven" format as program director. He also helped to develop the Sunday Urban Gospel format on Salem Communications’ WAVA-FM and created audio imaging for BET’s XM Satellite Radio. Previously, he served as Production Director for Radio One’s four Baltimore radio stations. Matt has also written articles for several media industry trade publications including Gospel Today.
An entrepreneur at heart, Matt also owns and operates Missing Peace Productions a company that offers creative media solutions primarily through video production with emphasis on motion graphic design, editing and documentaries. His work has aired from New York to Los Angeles on outlets like TV One, The Word Network, UPN-TV, BET and ABC-TV. Some of his television appearances include TV One’s “The Gospel of Music with Jeff Majors”, Bobby Jones Gospel, BET’s “Sunday Best” and Verizon’s “How Sweet The Sound Choir Competition” (webcast).
Called to preach and gifted to teach, Matt is a licensed minister of the Gospel. He currently worships at Zion Church in Landover, Maryland. He and his wife have three young adult children.
