Larry Jones is currently the co-host on the nationally syndicated radio program Yolanda Adams Morning Show. Jones and Adams have known each other since 1996, starting The Morning Show together in 2007. The Yolanda Adams Morning Show is currently heard coast to coast across America.
On-air, Jones shares the knowledge he’s acquired over the years, entertaining the listening audience with historical facts, and promoting the word of God. His warm humor and gospel music expertise can be heard over the airwaves every morning.
Jones holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Alabama State University and began his radio career in 1973 in Montgomery, Alabama. After stints in Little Rock and Tulsa to strengthen and perfect his God-given talent, his radio career took him to Washington DC, New York, Chicago, St. Louis and Memphis, among other cities.
A man of extraordinary vitality and great administrative ability, Jones has always been a champion of civic betterment and a tireless advocate of honest government. He was recognized by the mayor and the City of Houston for his community service and received a Congressional Award from Congresswoman Shelia Jackson-Lee. He was also named Billboard Magazine’s Local Air Personality of the Year. Serving as emcee for everything from fundraisers, station events and charity functions, to black-tie affairs for Congressional leaders, he also hosts events and speaking engagements in all of the affiliate markets as well.
Jones is owner and President of a voice-over company, and is the CEO and Founder of Drum Major Productions.
He is a member of The Abundant Life Cathedral Church in Houston, TX, attending with his wife Charlene. The couple has four children and a beagle, all residing in Houston.
